Psychotherapy & Consultation
My aim is to help diverse clients cultivate clarity, flexibility, and self-compassion—so they can respond to life’s challenges with greater wisdom, resilience, and purpose.
Psychotherapy
I am a licensed psychologist in the State of New York and have a part-time private practice.
Treatment Approach
I provide culturally grounded, evidence-based psychotherapy to adults and adolescents facing a range of emotional, relational, and life challenges, including mood and anxiety disorders, racial and ethnic minority stress, career and academic pressures, relationship concerns, family dynamics, and questions related to identity and cultural adjustment.
My clinical work draws on treatments with strong empirical support, particularly cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based approaches. When appropriate, I collaborate closely with psychiatrists, other healthcare providers, and family members to ensure thoughtful and coordinated care.
I view each person within the broader context of their life history, relationships, and cultural environment. My approach is flexible, culturally responsive, and attentive to both strengths and struggles, with the goal of helping clients develop greater clarity, resilience, and alignment between their daily lives and their deepest values.
Insurance
Most of my clients see me as an out-of-network provider, meaning that I do not accept most insurance with the exception of Lyra. However, I do provide the necessary documentation to file a reimbursement claim with your insurance carrier, which typically yields a 50-80% reimbursement rate. Please check your out-of-network benefits to determine the reimbursement rate for your specific carrier.
Consultation Services
I welcome opportunities to collaborate with technology, digital health, and telehealth organizations that are working to reimagine the future of mental health care. As advances in AI and digital platforms reshape how care is delivered, there is an urgent opportunity—and responsibility—to ensure that these innovations are designed with equity and ethics at their core.
My consultation work focuses on helping organizations design systems and services that are not only scalable and effective, but also attentive to culture, context, and the lived experiences of diverse communities. This perspective is informed by my research on multicultural psychotherapy process and outcome, culturally-affirming and community-engaged intervention design and development, and by my experience as cofounder of Unmute, a BIPOC-oriented telehealth company. I am particularly drawn to partnerships with teams that see technology not simply as a tool for efficiency, but as a means of fostering more humane, inclusive, and accessible forms of care.
